how to fix the headlights on my 1979 lincoln continental?

i can turn the hi-beams on, and all four lights are on, but the low-beams dont work by themselves. checked the fuses, all seem to be in working order.

First, check the low beams themselves, make sure they aren't burned out. Then, check headlight relay. Often times they go bad, and won't make contact when switching from high to low...

Its possible that the headlight switch. I know on the panther chasis, the headlight switch was known to burn out, due to heat burning out contacts. Do the running light work?

Might want to replace dimmer switch on the floor first, it can cause all sorts of problems, and they are easy and cheap to replace.

sounds like your dimmer switch could be bad, or your low beams could actually be burnt out...

I have the 79 bill blass edition and the the brights switch on and off but I cant figure out how to adjust the switch to where they turn off right away when an oncoming car from far away. How would I adjust it to switch to the sims turn on right away??
