How to "soften" the ride in my Lincoln Continental

Asked by Tig2Dan Jun 07, 2016 at 05:50 PM about the 1997 Lincoln Continental FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced the rear "air ride" suspension on my 1997 Lincoln
Continental with standard type shocks & springs. I didn't expect as soft a ride
but it now rides pretty rough in comparison. Is there any way to "soften" the
ride, short of going back to the air suspension, which, to me, is prohibitively
expensive ? Thanks.

Thanks for your answer.I don't know which types were used, and the guy who installed them is not available. Besides , I had a very unpleasant experience with him and I wouldn't ask him anyway. I would assume he used the least expensive ones available (?). Sorry, that's all I can tell you.
