no engine turns?...or perhaps the thermo-time switch is bad (if so equipped)~ else the battery posts are laden with corrosion~ need to know which carburetor to investigate further~

It is fuel injected. Battery in great shape.
test your thermo-time switch~ replace if defective ~ https://www.google.com/search?q=82+fiat+124+thermo- time+switch&biw=1360&bih=649&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa =X&ved=0ahUKEwjvir6ZjqjLAhVE1x4KHbxjDq4QsAQIGw
I think your car is not fuel injecton,I think the fuel pump is not completelly good as you say, and let the fuel go back after few days without engine, you have two choices 1rst:start the motor every 24 hours,2nd check fuel pump inside using a transperent siliconized conector , then you may see that it is getting empty in days, I speak spanish, I am cuban and my english is too bad , but if you understand me, I am on your line, let me know what is going on, if you dont mind
check the thermo-time switch...seen this problem before with audi's and such~

Bob, I put a test light on line running to cold start injector and had juice. All I can figure at this point is cold start injector is bad. You can spray small amount of starting fluid into plenum and it fires right up. Don
