Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driving down the road after 12 - 15 miles, my car lost overdrive. Engine just reved. Then after another 5 - 6 miles, the same thing happened to third gear. I still have first and second. I changed the filter, but I still have the problem. Any suggestions ? Car only has 84,000 miles.

I had similar problems with my 1994 Grand Marquis. I took it to dealers, transmissions shops, everyone, all over San Diego. After I got home the automatic trans. mechanic took one drive in it and knew what it was. I forget his name, but you can call or write MIDPAC AUTO CENTER,3050 HOOLAKO STREET, LIHUE, HI 96766. It will be worth it.
