what makes my oil gauge drop to no pressure

when the engine warms up the oil gauge drops down to 0 when you stop and now if you do not keep it above 2000 rpms it drops down to 0. the engine never gets hot and i cant tell that the engine does not run any different. it does not leak any oil or burn any oil. what might this be. i have been told it might be the sensor by oil filter or the gauge itself.

Usually it's the oil pressure sender.
I agree. Check the oil pressure sending unit.
Drops in drive waiting at light and oil pressure drops then put in neutral goes up. Or drive normal it stays up . except waiting at ligjt
