When i cut the truck off i need to jump to get back running. Ive seen the negative cable is kind of corroded. So is it battery issue? The battery is about year old. Or alternator or stater?
You have the answer in your question. Corrosion on a battery cable terminal prevents good contact. You can use a wire brush, baking soda and water, or both on it. Then I have a feeling you will be back on the road

The corrosion does not indicate a battery problem. But prevention is spray-on aerosol products, or plain old Vaseline works. AFTER it's clean and tight
