I got the headrest off of my seat and now I can't get it back on

I took my head rest off so I could put a seat cover on but now I can't get the headrest back on.

Look on the base of the top portion of the seat where the metal portion of the headrest is inserted. There should be a plastic piece around the hole where the rod is inserted. On the plastic there should be a button which usually is pushed in to remove or replace the headrest.
