I have a 2002 ford explorer limited with a 4.6 v8. We started having motor issues and got tired of replacing things as we went and that got tiring. We found a triton 4.6 v8 from a ford expedition we switched the motors and everything connected except the torque converter. Can we buy a torque converter for the triton motor and resove the issue or will we have to find another motor?

Check to see if you can just replace the flywheel aka flex plate to line up with your old torque converter bolt pattern. Ford dealership should be able to look it up for you.
