check your ATF strainer inside of transmission housing. It could be clogged with dirt and grime. one indication of a dirty strainer is if color of atf is dark pink instead of the normal red.
Did you ever get an answer? My transmission is doing the same thing.
Hiace auto 2017 i can't shift the auto gear internal light not working
I have experienced that, check the fuse
i have 1992 hiace, i replace the oil but it wont shift gear
I have experienced in mine, I changed the gearbox speed gear sensor, now working properly.
Hi guys. I'm having a similar problem, I replaced the diesel gear box with a petrol gearbox. But the oil turns dark just after a few minutes of driving and no linger moves when the transmission warms up.

Hi cargurus, you're absolutely right! I told my trusted mechanic to check the strainer of the transmission fluid inside the gearbox and its clogged with dirt and grime. And it's like what you said, the color of the atf was light pink instead of dark red, an indication of a faulty strainer indeed. Thank You. Although i just replied now, i got that fixed in 2016.
