why are my traction an air bag lights are on?

Because the computer told the lights to come on so you would notice an issue and take your car to someone who knows how to fix it.

Hi John, Not sure what's going with your traction and airbag lights but if they stay on that's usually an indication that something could be wrong. Your Owner's Manual suggests on pgs. 2-83 and 2-86. If the warning light doesn’t come on then, have it fixed so it will be ready to warn you if there’s a problem. If it stays on, or comes on when you’re driving, there may be a problem with your traction control system and your vehicle may need service. Also, if the air bag readiness light stays on after you start the vehicle or comes on when you are driving, your air bag system may not work properly. Have your vehicle serviced right away.
