Dear JERRYMCGOVERN-- The cruise control module is just one component of the cruise control system on your 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood. Since that is new, you will logically continue and check the speed sensors (usually the speedometer will not work), the actuator, the throttle linkage or the sensors on the brake pedal. For a pretty decent description of most systems, try the following site-- http://autorepair.about.com/cs/generalinfo/a/aa100302a.htm. Good luck from Bovan.

Thank you for the info. I will check all the other sensors this week. One checklist is 55 steps long about the speed control. Jerry

3rd brake light bulbs must be working.
