1999 Honda Civic EX coupe has a rickety creaking sound when going over bumps!

My 147,000 miles original equipped Civic EX coupe has creaking sound whenever I go over bumps, would this be shock/strut related or some other suspension problem?

Could be sway bar link. Had that issue in my Honda and all is was is the links. 200 bucks to have fixed by local Mechanic

Nope, changed the links myself only few months back. But thanks for your suggestion.

I also replaced my strut mounts and that stopped noises. Mine was an 04 EX

99% chance it is a lower ball joint.

okay, so I replaced all 4 shocks/struts whatever you want to call them. still get the squeaky creaking sound coming from the right rear area, and it seems to be more pronounced now than before. how would i go about checking the ball joint as many of you stated? also, would that be the upper or lower ball joint or both? thanks in advance.
