Why doesn't my 2005 chrysler sebring start?

Asked by dacel Jun 26, 2014 at 09:02 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Sebring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving to work and my car shut off. i tried to crank it, but it wouldn't start. . I was
told the crankshaft position sensor may need to be replaced. So i replaced it and still it
will not start. I have no ignition spark the first ignition coil, by the way the ignition coil is
brand new and the spark plugs and cable connected to the spark plugs are in good
shape . Also the timing belt is in good shape. I don't know what else to do.

The engines size is 2.4L 4 cylinder

Spark, fuel, and oxygen are required for combustion. Something is missing, or there is an internal malfunction, but that would be obvious- head gasket, bearing, piston, etc. Check fuses, connections, fuel contamination, exhaust blockage, something has been overlooked. Presuming no warning indicators for temp, oil pressure, or check engine before failure, a diagnostic would be $ well spent, to check for any codes being thrown and saved.
