how do you re program keys for volkswagon routon 2009?

Car remote needs to be reprogrammed. Car works fine but remote will not
start car.

some lock smiths can do it as well. try this first. put the key in question in the car ingniton and put it to power on. leave it like this for 15 minutes then turn it off then crank it over. this sometimes works sometimes doesnt. its a form of manuely linking the key back to the car.
