Engine swap

Asked by Justin Mar 07, 2018 at 10:02 PM about the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is a Chrysler Sebring with the 2.7. I'm
curious if I can swap with another 2.7 engine? I
believe my engine took a crap on me so I'm curious
as to if I can swap 2.7 with 2.7? I know the VIN
numbers have something to do with being able to
do the swap as long as the engine has the same
8th digit is that true or not true? Any help would be
greatly appreciated
