How can I find out how much my porsche is really worh. KBB doesn't go back that far.
Exterior, interior fair, 3rd gear doesn't work, needs paint job, engine is in great condition, newer brakes, new clutch, tires and wheels are great, driver side window and back windshield wiper don't work, horn doesn't work.

Check out Hemmings, Old Car Trader, etc., and try to find comparable vehicles for sale. In the old car market, it's really only worth what someone is willing to pay -- so you may have to throw out the top and bottom two or three prices you find, and go for something in the midrange.
If you were to sell your car now, expect from about $2,000 - $5,000. If you fixed the third gear, and some of the minor electrical problems, it'd be about $4,000-$7,000. That's just my guess. I'd have to see the interior/exterior. Don't go by any book values you find, they're almost always very inaccurate. The 928's that fetch high prices are/either late model/year, stick, have no rust, paint in excellent condition, NO electrical problems, and have lots of MECHANICAL work done. Timing belt changes are a minimum. Look around on ebay, find cars that are similar to yours. They'll probably go for 2-7k. MAKE SURE YOU FIX 3RD GEAR BEFORE YOU SELL IT. That keeps the price down by a lot.
