AC turns off when I turn it to 4

Asked by James Oct 10, 2020 at 07:52 PM about the 2009 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a Hyundai Sonata from 2009. Recently, when I turn the air
conditioner to its highest setting, 4, the air conditioning turns off, as if it were on
0. It works fine when set to 1, 2, or 3. What could the issue be? Thank you to
anyone who can answer.

Sounds like either the fan switch on the dash or the resistor block, near the blower motor, is bad. Hope that helps! Jim
