My car started beeping and it wouldn't turn on and then all the warning lights
went on. Afterward I released the break and then the car turns on and
everything is normal. What exactly happened?

its possible your car didn't pick up the security key when you turned it on - then when you tried the second time it did

My key fob or security key.was washed in my pants and the sticky stuff that holds the little button tabs quit working.I now have to take it apart and align tabs to unlock doors.once the alarm sounded while the engine was on
