Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a Jeep CJ5 (1979) and the axle that allow it to go into 4wd is missing.  What is it called, and can I replace it myself?

thanks

Your axle is missing? That's really bad. I think you are either talking about your front driveshaft or possibly the locking hubs that go on the front axle.
