hi, I am only getting heat when I'm going at high speed... I know nothing about cars but from what I've read, it seems to be a common problem...anyone know how to fix it

If you engine is getting very hot ... it could be water pump If the engine temp is ok it's probably your thermostat

If the blower is not running you might have a defective blower speed control module. Its a common problem and the aftermarket module is inexpensive and easily replaced following the instructions shown on Youtube.
