Question type: General

I have a 1979 GMC K/10 Long Bed sitting in NC. It has a 350 and is minus a tranny and transfer case currently.   I need to tow it back to VA.  I have a 2004 Trailblazer LS 4WD with a 4.2 I6 Vortec and a 5,500 lbs. towing capacity.  I can't find the weight of my GMC anywhere.  It's not even on the title and I can't find it online.  I need to know what the weight of my truck is so that I will now if I can tow it 130 miles back to my house to work on it.  If anyone can answer this or give me a site to go to to find out the info I need I'd greatly appreciate it.

I tried looking through edmunds.com but did not find much. But a fact is that the GM trucks from the 70's did not pass 5,000 lbs, the trucks were naturally smaller back then, so you should be safe pulling it with your blazer. Hope this helps.

I had a Chev C10, which is lighter than the GMC model. The weight of your truck is about 4500 lbs.

i have a 85 chevy c10 and my registration says about 3800

should be around 4700 i have 9 in lift and 35 with 4 speed and 205 tcase it weighs around 5500

per the title with motor intact and vehicle running the weight on my 1980 c-10 350 automatic is 4300 lbs
