VIN on Vehicle and year on Title don't match...

Question type: General
I recently bought a 1963 Chevy C10 Stepside, 230 V6
truck. Title i received had this info on it, including the VIN
starting with a 4, which indicates 1964 model year. Is this
something I should be bothered with? I'm viewing the
stamped VIN on the vehicle and it does match what is on
the title, just the year is incorrect.

Does the serial part of the VIN match the title? Only the year is wrong? Is this an original title or one that was reissued by the title bureau in the last decade or two?
Yes, only digit incorrect is the 4 denoting 1964. The rest seems correct. Not an original title I guess, as this truck has had several owners. Unless you mean something else.
Not being an original title, it may mean a past owner filed for a replacement title and a mistake was made. Usually a VIN and title mismatch can be a major red flag, it may mean a stolen vehicle. But in your case the serial part of the VIN matches, and only the year is off, that may be due to a mistake by the title bureau when issuing a replacement. I bought a classic vehicle from an auction house once, where the auctioneers had to apply for several titles for various vehicles with the state's help, and a lot of mistakes were made, ie using ID tags found on the body as VINs incorrectly. In my case I went to the title bureau and showed them info from a source book on the correct vin location and got the number on the title changed, but it took a few visits to get it done.
When you say using ID TAGS on the body, what exactly do you mean? Mine I am pulling the VIN from is a stamped metal plate, with only the number, riveted in the opening that the door fits into. I know my newer vehicle it is in my dash.
