Truck won't start
My 86 Chevy k20 was running as of April
18th 2016. My carb has been an issue
since I've bought it back in October of
2015. The carb is a edelbrock q-jet
(780cfm) I believe. The electric choke
would work on and off and then it just
stopped. So to start the truck I would leave
the choke closed, start it, than I'd zip-tie
the choke open to drive around and it ran
perfect with great throttle response and no
issues. This worked for weeks on end then
one night I decided to leave the choke
open, due to it being warm out and not
thinking I needed it. The next morning I
came out and tried starting the truck and it
just kept turning, no kicks or almost starts
just constant turning. I tired taking plugs
out and drying them off then putting them
back in too that didn't work either. My
plugs/ plug wires/ and distributor, along
with my fuel pump and alternator are brand
new. It's been 3 weeks since the truck
started. Thankfully I don't need it 24/7 but
I'd like to get it going again. Anyone have
any suggestions? I believe it's the carb,
and I've been told it's the carb too but id
like some further opinions. Thanks -CJ
