Dodge Stratus 2004 sedan has trouble starting under very specific circumstances
I have a 2004 Dodge Stratus sedan. LOVE this car. 140,000 miles. For the past year it has been having trouble starting, but only under very specific circumstances. When I get off from work in the late afternoon, the car will hesitate to start, every single time. It does not have trouble starting at any other time or location. The mechanics are scratching their heads, they say everything looks fine. I work in an area with a lot of trucking companies and warehouses - is it possible for any kind of signal to be generated in such a location that might interfere with my car starting at that location and time? When I turn the key, the dashboard lights up, but the engine takes a long time to engage. Yesterday was the worst, I had to keep the key turned for several seconds before the engine reluctantly caught and turned over. That was after several attempts. I took the car to the local Dodge dealer right away, and of course the car is happy and starting just fine. Any ideas about signal interference? The car recently had a tune up and a lot of maintenance work done, and I mentioned the problem at that time, but nothing is turning up that is pointing to a repairable problem. I don't believe in gremlins so I am searching for some possible answers. Thanks.
