a 'crate' motor would be a start. Are you looking for a dome top piston performance engine? not sure of your requirements...a buddy down at the boneyard can hook you up for cheap if that is what you're after...but sounds like you want a NEW motor for a used truck, just go shopping for one, sorry ain't got one on me at the moment.

Start at a thousand, recycled alternator, p/s unit/ and A/C...yes. crate.
do a lsx swap. Slap a new 6.0 in there. You will need the computer and harness and a trans with the lsx bellhousing because its not a small block chevy anymore. If you want to stay small block and even stay tbi build a 350 with vortec heads and a mild cam. They make a intake that will bolt to the vortec heads and still use the tbi.
