Does a fuel pump make noise when it is going out?

To my understanding if it's making noise then it's working... Coolant leaking it's eaither bad seals or bad tube or worst.
Yes it does. If you go to start your truck and don't here that noise and it won't start.Do this: Get out your tire tool and hit the bottom of the gas tank. What this does (if it works} is it frees up the impeller. When the pump fails it quits spinning. When you have to change the pump go at the task like I did. 1)Remove the screws holding the tank filler neck. 2)Disconnect wire harness to tail lights from frame rail. 3)Remove the bolts holding bed to frame {I think there are 8 } 4)With the help of a buddy lift the bed up and set it on the rear wheels. Pump access is right behind drivers door. No need to drop the tank.
