Brakes

Asked by Mike03 Jul 18, 2011 at 08:06 PM about the 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes but not all the time, when pressing the brake pedal, the ABS seems to come in a major way - very loud thumping - and then it stops.  It'll happen again.  Sometimes, the ABS light comes on randomly while driving however NOT while applying the brakes.  The loud ABS noise and pulsing never happens when the ABS light is on.  Wheel speed sensors all read at correct speed. Can't just figure it out.  Anybody got any ideas?

Have to start with codes .. If the light has been on it has a code in memory Make sure you check wheel speed sensors below 10 miles an hour thats when you will notice drop offs more Good Luck
