i'm trying to get the proper steps to replace the lower ball joints in my 2002 4x4 quad cab?

get some cutting torches and buy the uppers as well since your gonna have the whole thing apart. take the wheel off, remove the caliper, then remove the castle nut on the axle it should be either a 32 or a 36MM socket. once thats all done. unbolt the tie rod ends from the spindle, remove the castle nuts on each ball joint and using a pickle fork and a decent sized hammer remove the spindle off of the ball joints. at this point i break out the torches and burn out the middle of the joint and then use a ball peen hammer and a good chisel and get rid of the rest. its not gonna be an easy job
