Is there a lube I'm supposed to check for it? It goes into 4x4 which I need for the snow in Western MA with my all season tires, buy I'm afraid to use. Monroe is flushing oil and going to synthtic as it looks like I also have oil sludge.

There is lubricant both in the Transfer case and in both difs, check the level in those first. Both the T-case and the difs needs to serviced, check your owners manual to see how often. You should not use 4wd hi or low unless you are driving in snow or loose material like gravel or mud. You can brake axels, difs or t-case if you do.
Thanks - I have an appt today to have them check it.
I don't have an owners manual - do you know where to download a free or cheap one?
