Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have 2002 4.7 Durango. It had problem with fuel tank gauge showing
incorrect data, so I got stuck with empty tank. After refueling it won't start.

It sounds like you may have burned the fuel pump, The pump will burnout if you have no fuel...

@joemom, after your answer I've ordered a new fuel pump. But in the meantime my father without knowing that car is broken - started it drove out to the street, where it shut down again. After some time I've managed to start it and drive back to the garage. I'm thinking about fuel filter? Is it possible that I accidentally got something inside fuel tank while pouring gasoline from "unclean" container?
It could be, you may want to empty the tank and change the filter

Thank you very much for suggestions. I will order the filter as well and hopefully that would be it.
