My car 2009 subaru forester 2.0 boxer td. There is EPS. Sometimes when I
start the car the steering light is on and the steering is getting too heavy. This
problem is not always.

The light is telling you there is a problem. Take it to a good shop or your dealer for diagnosis.

You will need to buy the tools and diagnostic equipment so that you can do the work yourself. I don't know if a OBD2 code reader will read these codes or not.
