My 2009 Chevy aveo door ajar light is on when door is closed. I suspect the sensor on driver front door my have been damaged by seatbelt when I shut the door. How can I test sensor. How's it work

Google it,you may find wiring diagram,but i will say this,it will be one of the door latches is bad,the switch is biult in to the door latch inside the door,may try spraying them with wd40 may help,but if not you may have to replace the switch,and im almost sure it will be drivers door,being it is used the most.

So how would I change that this is a woman asking this and should I wait for it to be dry before I spray the latch it's raining?
