2001 dodge neon wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm praying that I can find someone who
could give me a better answer than me
continue to replace parts on my car. A
month ago my power steering went out on
my way to work. I drove it like that until I
was able to replace it and when I did it
ended up being the tension pulley so I
replaced that as well. In the meantime
between all of this there was a couple of
times I had trouble getting it started but I
just gave it gas and it ended up starting.
After I got the whole power steering
tensioner pulley and belt taken care of got it
started once and within like 20 seconds it
died and now I can't get it to start. I've
replaced the coil pack and the ignition
switch and tested the spark none of those
are the problem. So I don't have money to
keep up with this and buying a new part
hoping that's it and it's not. If anyone has
ever seen or had this horrible problem with
a neon advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had the chip reader around the ignition checked out my problem was the antennae around the ignition switch failed . If not that then what about neutral safety switch or clutch engagement switch?

Turn the key to start position for a second then turn off . Do this 3 times in a row . The last time leave it on the on position and read your odometer. It will give codes and just go down the line from least cost till it works.
