2001 Dodge Neon wont start.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A week ago, my battery had died. I couldnt
jump it or anything. So i took it into
autozone, had it tested. They confirmed i
was dead. Bought a new one, replaced it.
And now it wont turn over. When i firsr
replaced it, my car could honk, and turn the
lights, and radio on. But while I was trying to
fix it, checking rhe fuse box and all that, no
power is going into the car at all. Canr honk,
turn on the lights, radio, any of that. And it
still wont start. Tried jumping it again,
nothing. Anyone have any ideas? Im thinking
maybe some of the wiring might have been
pulled out of place or something.

I considered that, but like the car isnt making any sort of sounds at all. And jumping it would work if it was the alternator. But theres nothing. Its gotta be a problem with something in the electrical side.

All you have to do is hard rest the computer. This is how you do it. Simple take the two cable's off the battery and touch them together! And you should make sure you got charge in the battery. If that don't work I don't know inless it's a bad computer but it fixed mine that's what I did

If you get it started, check the alternator by taking off the positive cable, if itdies, it's the alternator. But it songs like somthing is draining the battery real bad.

Never intentionally cross over the pos and neg! This sends a direct 12 volt charge to the body control module burning it up and creates a no start condition. I would check to insure all body and engine grounds are connected and aren't corroded
