HEY HAVE SOMEONE AT AN EXHAUST SHOP CHECK THE CONVERTER IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM IF THEY ARE STOPPED UP YOUR CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE SEEN IT MANY TIMES WORKING FOR MUFFLER SHOPS IN THE PAST.
It's prob the transmission. There has been a lot of complaints on the cvt in the nissans. Check out car complaints.com.
Your gearbox might be set to stall mode by the ECU. This can be due to a faulty sensor or an actual gearbox issue. Get the vehicle checked for error codes. Sometimes you will get the power mode switch blinking, if your vehicle is equeped with it. I experienced the same issue some time back, and it was a faulty speed sensor. Had a quick cheap replacement and problem solved.
