POSSIBLE CV JOINT TROUBLES AND WOBBLING OF THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When turn the wheels I hear a clicking sound! What is this problem!? Also the front end of the car seems to wobble! Could that be an indication that it requires a front end alignment or could it be the tires?

Bad cv joints can cause the ticking sound. Bad front wheel bearing can cause wobble. Jack car up grab wheel on both sides and give it a good shake. From side to side, up and down and in and out. You should be able to tell what's going bad. Possibly bad wheel bearing, cv joint, ball joint or tie rod end. If there is excessive movement when shaking tire inspect for which part is loose causing this.

FYI DONT WAIT TO FIX A BAD CV JOINT AND OR WHEEL BEARINGS My.1992 Geo storm front left or drivers sidde wheel bearing wobbled so bad it jerk the steering wheel to the left outta my hands practically. when this started it was severe suddenly and the iffy cv joint went bad fast from there. with in 300 to 400 miles slow round town miles, THERE IS BASIC MAINTENANCE to keep a cv joint from never having to be replaced.... keep your undercaridge clean. we have all seen what dirt and harsh sun does to anything rubber or plastic. once a year lubricate/condition those rubber boots. hands free car washes are handy and fine but get out and see what and where to squirt off all the road muck yourself....youll be saving time money and headache if you do.
