Have you tried a 7mm Allen wrench? That seems to be what you need for most Dodge brake systems. Check out this thread: http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67273 (copy and paste the link into your browser) for a step-by-step on changing the brakes on a 1998 Durango.

98 dodge Dakota uses a 7mm hex on driver side and a 1/4 on passenger side. The 7mm was one size to big for the passenger side. I do not know why it take two different sizes but I just finished mine brake job and that is what I used. I have seen other posts say the two sides use different sized hex’s.
