1998 Dodge Stratus V6 No Spark

Asked by Ian Jan 18, 2021 at 03:43 PM about the 1998 Dodge Stratus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've had a reocurring issue with my 1998 Dodge Stratus. After the first time
the car died, I determined that the sensor that resides inside the distributor
had gone bad so I put in a whole new distributor. About 6 months later
another sensor(camshaft or crankshaft position sensor I don't remember)
went bad so I replaced it, but that didn't fix it. What little I can find online says
that the last piece of the puzzle would be the onboard computer.
Replacements go on ebay for well over what I'm willing to pay for and I was
wondering if anybody here had any advice?

Battery has a full charge and connections all good? at the distributor, dark green wire with orange tracer, engine cranking, should be voltage on that wire. Use a test light. Several systems on your vehicle get voltage from asd relay, ignition coil--fuel injectors--02 sensors, I don't know what else? If no voltage, have to check asd relay circuits.
