1998 dodge stratus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

have a 1998 4 cylinder dodge stratus I punctured the oil filter, ran out of oil, and then it
wouldnt start.  I put two quartz of oil in it unaware of the puncture and it started and it
drove about 6 blocks to gas station, turned it off thinking it was fine.  I got gas and
started the car and it idled for a few minutes then sputtered and died, it hasn't started
yet. Since then I put new oil filter, charged the battery (had to get a jump), checked all
lines, checked the spark plugs, cleaned them and put them back on, but it still wont
start.  It sounds like it wants to start, the key turns but the engine just woo-woo-woo's
then no juice.

can you please help?

side note- I've been running it without an air filter for a few weeks...

The loss of oil and the subsequent loss of oil pressure triggered a sensor to shut off the engine. Change the low oil pressure sending unit and see if it was the problem wait a minute.
