I'm having a similar problem with my 97 Dakota, just died and won't restart, battery is fully charged, all fuses and relays have been checked and replaced if needed, tried to connect to the data port to check for a bar crank sensor and there is nothing happening and am figuring there is a separate fuse, fusable link or inline fuse that needs replaced or just figure that the ECM is dead... idk.... Any suggestions????

Might be the starter I just replaced the starter in my 2006 Dodge Dakota when it wouldn't crank at all. An engine needs 3 things to run: fuel (including air), combustion, and a spark. If you don't have all 3 it won't run so branch off of them.
