1996 Dodge Caravan...why does the transmission slip into neutral while driving?

Asked by Linda Jul 26, 2020 at 04:35 PM about the 1996 Dodge Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What causes the transmission to slip into neutral while driving? Also the low oil
light came on. Then after shutting off the car and restarting, it's as if nothing
happened.

Possible low transmission fluid level. Obviously you need to check the engine oil.
