i have a 1996 dodge intrepid when i first start it it will not shift into drive or reverse until it has warmed up for 15 minutes then after im driving for a little bit it will have a hard time shifting into the next gear please help

Do you hear any grinding when the car shifts? You could maybe get a tranny flush done, or replace the old fluid maybe there's impurities in it, that or maybe the linkage is lose for the shifter
