CD Player Reads "empty magazine"

Hi.  I have been having trouble with the CD player on my expedition.  I have filled the magazine and still cannot figure out why the panel reads "empty magazine".  How and what is the problem?  Have others experienced this same dilemma?

yes i ended up buying a new ford 6 disk changer. make sure all the connections are good and no moisture in the plastic connectors.
