Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Bantam Rocam (1.6 XLT). while driving at a constant speed it would jerk every now and then. Had a service done but the jerking still there and gotten worse, Bakkie smells like it runs rich and the jerking is much more now ( epecially when pulling away and driving slow in higher gear) and even backfires occasionally when it splutters..Any idea what to look for

Check for fault codes in the system. Spark plugs should be set at 1.3mm. This could be an Oxygen sensor problem. Check the condition of the spark plug leads.

Changed plus and lead wires...Cant find a O2 Sensor ( would this it on top of the manifold..or at the bottom?). Still runs rich and jerks/splutters (and backfires) when pulling away...fine after that at speed..when we slow down and accelerate again..same thing. Want to replace the fuel pressure regulator but no idea where that is ...Still need to check return fuel lines

I have 2005 model. Jerking and sputters on pulling on 1st and 2nd gear. Replace the little fuel pump inside the fuel tank. My problem was solved.
