Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 94 geo tracker and on the highway the car seems like it is always shifting. like a constant back and forth surge. its not shifting because it does this while driving on flat road with no throttle movement, and even going up a hill it feels like it is shifting back and forth. hard to explain besides like a high idle to normal idle (just enough to feel like it is shifting) havent counted the timing of this but about every 20-25 seconds it does it.

yes it will but there's a little plug underneath the hood that you have to connect 10 2 and 4 in it's on the passenger side right in front of the battery it's white you take the cap off and connect pin 2 and 4 and then go back inside and turn the key to on and it will flash the code for you to check engine light will flash you count it and should be two numbers you count how many times it flashes and it'll tell you what the code is for whatever transmission problem is having
