Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Anyone know this issue on a 1980 Volero
changed out spark plugs, cables, fuel pump,
rotor, distributor cap, carburetor and fuel filter
and it’s still puttering when you accelerate
the gas peddle what could be the issue?
Does it have a fuel filter in the tank?

There is an "accelerator pump plunger" on the carburetor that gives it an extra squirt of gas when you "step on the gas". It needs to be set higher to squirt more gas or maybe it may need that plunger grommet replaced. Don't buy a whole new carb, just get it adjusted/fixed so you see a squirt of gas when looking down into the carb and are revving up the engine. Only us old guys know this stuff as fuel injection came out around 1985. Nursing homes are full of guys who worked on those.

I replaced the carb it’s brand new so would the adjustment be where on the Carb? My number is13866820245
