truck starts when gas pedal push to the floor then stalls after he releases his foot

my grampa bought his 1998 gmc sierra 1500 sle  2 weeks ago he has put new spark
plugs in the truck and has put a new fuel filter in the truck its still doing the same thing the
only thing we can think of it might be bad gas that he put in it from a gas station that sells
ethanol fuel if anyone has had this same problem please leave me a comment under this
post thank you it would mean alot to us also the engine in the truck is a vortec

thanks js08016 but we put bran new correct spark plugs in and changed the fuel filter

and the weirdest thing is we put the brand new spark plugs in and the next day there shot again explain that to us

Hello I'm having problems on a 1995 GMC Sierra 5.7 liter. I have to push gas pedal to floor to start. Ive had fuel injector kit put in it , fuel pump is new, new distributor plugs & wires but still have the same problem, please help.

Having the same problem with my dads 97 Z71 it won't start unless you press the gas pedal all the way to the floor.... told him it might be the throttle position sensor, but not sure?? Had a old cavileir do this same thing years ago..

Umm?2001 Silverado 6.0 gas have to mash to the floor to crank,runs like vacumme leak,unable to find a vacumme leak,,holds steady 60lbs of fuel psi,,,
