97 gmc safari wont start when you turn key add starter fluid n it runs like a champ whats wrong n what controls the injector pulse

Injector pulse is weak n won't start when you turn key add starter fluid in throttle body n it
starts n runs good what controls the pulse n why do I need put starter fluid for it to start

The pulse is activated when your cranking and when the engine is running. In other words if you leave your key on "Run" and the engine is not running then for obvious reason the injectors are not pulsing. So there 2 conditions that tell the injectors to pump ... 1 in the crank and the other is when key is on and engine running ** There is also 1 inhibit ... the anti-theft if not satisfied will prevent or limit the injectors from staying on

WHY IT ONLY STARTS WITH HELP IS THE FUEL PUMP IS 1 TO 2 POUNDS LOW GM TAKE MORE TO START THAN TO RUN
