GMC sierra 1500 exhaust system

I have a 1997 GMC sierra 1500 4.3 engine  and need to
replace the entire exhaust system for one with a catalytic
converter due to environmental regulations. What other
years of Sierra are compatible with my 1997 exhaust
system? Or other truck models? Looking to find one used,
so need more options. Thank you so much!

Any muffler shop worth its' salt should be able to install a stock or after market cat. to bring you up to speed . I don't think there's such a thing as a used exhaust , they get hot and they rust and there's no sense installing a used one . Where I live the shop does it for about what I would pay just for the parts .

plus a used catalytic convertor needs to be labeled and tested before resale, a salvage yard can't legally sell one.
