I recently replace the lock cylinder the key
will turn but it does not start the car when
removing the ignition switch the gear inside
of the housing does not turn when I move
the key

Put if u put a screw driver in the ignition switch it turns the truck over had a mechanic tell me this morning that it is the housing for the lock cylinder bottom half don't turn

Do u know if I have to take the steering wheel off tho remove the housing

I do plan on doing it myself it looks like it's only three bolts just wondering if you have to get the steering wheel off to access them

problem fixed was gears in the ignition cylinder lock housing were bad and broken replaced now fine
